USES FOR LAVENDER OILS
Lavender is considered by many aroma-therapists to be the most versatile of all essential oils. It's a natural relaxant and stress reliever, and it has antiseptic and other healing properties. The following are just a few ideas of how you can use this wonderful oil.
*Rub a small amount on your temples to help relieve a headache.
*Pour a few drops into bathwater to soak and relax.
*Use a few drops in rinse cycle of wash.
*Use on burns and bites to relieve pain.
*Use on minor skin abrasions to aid in healing.
*Sprinkle a few drops on a cotton ball or hanky kept by your pillow to help you sleep.
*Rub a small amount on your light bulbs for a sweet smelling room.
LAVENDER FLOWER BUDS
Lavender is a natural moth and flea repellant as well as a natural relaxant and stress reliever.
To use as a moth repellant, simply place lavender sachets in drawers, closets, and trunks, or wherever you store natural fabrics. It works as good as moth balls and smells wonderful.
To use as a flea repellant:
*Bring a quart of water to boiling. Pour it over 3 tablespoons lavender flowers, and let it steep until cool. Transfer to a spray bottle and spray pets and their sleeping areas.
